The power of Yin yoga restores and grows the level of strength and grace we carry with us in life; physically, energetically, and emotionally.

Yin yoga is based on the philosophy of opposites and polarity. These two cannot exist without one another. Both reside in all forms in our bodies, minds and the world. Some examples of this are: feminine and masculine, light and dark, active, at rest…. The poses in Yin yoga are presented to the student in a way that demonstrates this constant duality. The practice of Yin is based on Chinese Medicine and working with the Meridian energy lines in the body.

This training will introduce the student to the practice of Yin and how it greatly differs from its Yang counterpart, Hatha or Vinyasa Yoga. We will explore the energy lines in the body and how each Yin pose opens, clears and balances the energy lines.

The student will be able to design Yin classes that embody the philosophy of Yin Yoga and are safely designed to open and heal the energy channels in the body; effectively restoring the sense of balance and grace one carries through life.
